The Keeper of the Way — the protector spirit set at the start of a journey, watching the way between worlds so the drummer can travel out and return. A round 12" Siberian frame drum: goat skin over an ash rim, with a cross-handle bound in cloth and crowned by a hand-carved alder spirit head, hung with metal rings and a brass bell that voice softly as the drum moves.
