REFUND & RETURN POLICY
Thank you for shopping at Open Your Drum — a handcrafted shamanic drum workshop based in Ukraine. Every piece is made by hand, and we want you to be happy with your drum.
EU customers — 14-day right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving a reason. (Our standard return window below is even longer — 30 days.) To withdraw, email us at hello@openyourdrum.com with your order number before the 14 days end. After we receive the item back in its original, unused condition, we will refund your payment within 14 days. Return shipping is the buyer's responsibility unless the item is faulty.
Custom and made-to-order pieces
Many of our drums are made individually to your specification or personalised for you. Under EU law (Consumer Rights Directive, Art. 16(c)), goods made to your personal specification or clearly personalised are exempt from the 14-day right of withdrawal, because they cannot be resold. These pieces can be returned only if they arrive damaged, faulty, or not as described. Standard, ready-made items are not affected by this exemption and follow the return terms below.
Standard returns
For ready-made items, we accept returns within 30 days of the delivery date. To be eligible, items must be unused and in their original condition. Please contact us at hello@openyourdrum.com with your order number and reason for return before sending anything back.
Shipping costs
Return shipping costs are the buyer's responsibility, except where the return is due to our error or a defect. Original shipping costs are non-refundable, except where the return is due to our error. For international returns, any customs duties and fees on the return shipment are the buyer's responsibility.
Damaged or defective items
If your order arrives damaged in transit or with a manufacturing defect, please contact us as soon as possible — ideally within 14 days of delivery — at hello@openyourdrum.com with your order number and clear photographs of the issue. We will arrange a repair, replacement, or full refund at your choice.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
