Leather Dyeing Masterclass — How to Dye Leather for a Drum

Hi. My name is Max. I'm from Ukraine, and I've been making shamanic drums and the accessories that go with them for over ten years.

People often ask me in the comments how I dye the hide for my drums. So I decided to record this masterclass, on the example of one of my own drums.

Please note that in this masterclass I only talk about the dyeing process. There is nothing here about making a whole drum, or about stretching the hide on the frame.
